What is the standard lead time for engine orders?
Most in-stock crate engines ship within 3-5 business days. Custom builds or out-of-stock items typically have a lead time of 4-8 weeks depending on component availability.
Do BluePrint Engines come with a warranty?
Yes, we offer an industry-leading 30-month / 50,000-mile warranty on our crate engines, providing you with peace of mind and guaranteed performance.
How is my engine shipped and delivered?
Engines are securely bolted to a heavy-duty pallet and shipped via LTL freight. The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment, and lift-gate service is available for residential addresses.
What kind of oil should I use for the break-in period?
We recommend using a high-quality conventional oil with a zinc additive (ZDDP) for the initial break-in period. Detailed oil specifications are included in your owner's manual.
Are the engines dyno-tested before shipping?
Every BluePrint crate engine is dyno-tested. We include a copy of your engine's individual dyno sheet so you can see the exact horsepower and torque numbers it produced.
What is your return policy for parts and engines?
Unused items in original packaging can be returned within 30 days. Please note that engines that have been installed or modified are not eligible for return under our standard policy.
